Our Brand "Ten Senses"

This branding intervention involves the marketing and sales of products manufactured by the Integra MED clients under the Integra brand. The brand will identify the products as being of exceptional quality and unique, as well as promote principles of Corporate Social Responsibility and Fair Trade. The brand will be derived from Integra's mission and values, and reflect how the organization and its clients do business. Integra's mission and values will be taken into consideration when developing the brand's standards and requirements for MED clients and their products. This intervention will facilitate the promotion of Fair Trade concepts and development of a Fair Trade market.
This intervention , together with consultancy, will lay the foundation for building capacity in our client businesses, and enable them to access the market more successfully. Branding will facilitate the marketing, distribution, and sale of products manufactured by the micro enterprises.
TEN SENSES – BRAND CRITERIA DEFINED
Ten Senses Ltd is a social enterprise which is deeply committed to the principles of sustainable development in its business operations. The following set of criteria defines the principles Ten Senses Ltd seeks to comply with in all its business operations and can be held accountable against.
Concerning integrity , Ten Senses Ltd will:
- Strive to behave ethically in all situations related to its business operation
- Meet legal requirements in all aspects of its business operation
- Strive to achieve high quality in all aspects of its operation
- Be accountable to all its stakeholders and will seek to take into account their voice
- Submit to regular financial and social audits of its operations
- Strive to promote ethical principles throughout the whole supply chain
- Work in partnership with their suppliers to achieve consistant quality in all aspects of their business operations
- Pay its suppliers a fair price which in the regional or local context is one that has been agreed through dialogue and participation. It provides fair pay to the suppliers and takes into account the principle of equal pay for equal work by women and men
Concerning social inclusion , Ten Senses Ltd will:
- Value people as much as profit. The profit generated by its business activities will be re-invested into creating more business opportunities for vulnerable groups
- Invest into development of its staff and apply equal opportunity employment policy
- Promote women entrepreneurship
- Promote the principles of fair trade and actively seek to create sale opportunities for suppliers from disadvantaged communities
- Encourage community involvement among its stakeholder group
Concerning environment , Ten Senses Ltd will:
- Promote sustainable development through its business activities
- Prioritize involvement with business partners and suppliers that have environmental protection policies and practices
- Promote the use of organic, recyclable and energy-efficient methods of production and materials
The following set of criteria defines the principles that any supplier wishing to sell their products in the Ten Senses shop or to have the Ten Senses label placed on their product obliges to comply with. A Ten Senses supplier will:
- Endeavor to meet all legal requirements in all aspects of their business operation
- Create a safe and healthy working environment for their employees. The participation of children (if any) does not adversely affect their well-being, security, educational requirements and need for play and conforms to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child as well as the law and norms in the local context (adopted from the Key principles of fair trade as defined by IFAT)
- Continuously work on improving the quality of their products and services
- Strive to apply responsible and environment-friendly methods of production
- Strive to behave ethically in situations related to their business operation
- Strive to actively participate in the development of their communities
- Not discriminate against any minority or vulnerable group in any aspect of their business operation
